World war 2 was the deadliest war in all of history. It is also one of my favorite time's to study. So for the next few weeks I will be talking about the beginning of the war.
The war lasted from September 1st to august 4th. the war began with the German invasion of Poland. It ended with the Japanese surrendered to the united states.
Over 60 million people died during this time. 40 million of them were civilian deaths.
This was brought about by accident on the British side. During the famous Battle of Briton, some British bomber pilots lost there way in the dark. saw some lights below them and dropped there bombs. Little did they know that they had just bombed Berlin. thus enraging the German people. Forcing them to retaliate agenst the British. thus this accident started the bombing of the city's.
The war also saw many changes which we still see today. Such as the jet plane, assault rifles, and rockets. plus the tanks evolved at a amazing rate. with the Germans going from the panzer 3 to the king tiger in about 5 years. I hope I can teach you ore about this war.

This is a fascinating topic, but enormous -- maybe start where your interests lie? Who lost and who benefited? How did evolving technology affect the outcome? What was daily life like for a citizen?
